Greylisting for anti-spam now available
Feb 22, 2006

Greylisting is now available as an add-on option for spam fighting.

This is a simple method of defending electronic mail users against email spam. Once enabled, our server which uses greylisting will "temporarily reject" any emails from a sender it does not recognise. If the mail is legitimate, the originating server will try again to send it later (1 - 30 mins). If the mail is from a spammer, it will not resend in most cases.

This has the advantage of stopping spam from fire-and-forget spammers, the disadvantage is legitimate emails may be delayed slightly depending on the sending server's retry time.

Customers interested to implement this feature may email support@iwi.sg for no extra charges.
